World-Class Skiing, Golf, and Fishing
Other than its proximity to the world-famous resorts, Vail and Beaver Creek (which is adjacent to town), this charming town is perhaps best known for the Eagle-Vail Golf Course, a renowned 18-hole course that adheres to USGA rules for play. It features a great blend of tough-but-fair mountain course and a more gentle river course. The club is Devlin/Von Hagge-designed, with truly stunning views.
One of its best features, you may decide, is that Hole 1 has a 65’ drop off. If you can avoid the bunker, you can start your game with a 2 or 3 to get home, but it’s rated Par 5! Start your game off with an easy birdie, put a bounce in your step, and then the game really begins.
Eagle-Vail is also the home of Vail Valley’s only par-3 course, which is ideal for learning to play and for children. The course offers both private and group lessons on the par-3 course, which is forgiving enough to encourage newcomers and children to pursue a love of the sport.

What’s Going On?
Summer golf and winter skiing are at the very top of the list. Both are world class. But once you’re done on the slopes or on the fairway, you can take advantage of the Eagle-Vail swimming pool.
If you prefer, you can lounge with friends and guests at the outstanding Pavilion and it’s wide open spaces, ornate pond, and spacious decks. Take to the quality waters of Eagle-Vail for fishing, whitewater rafting, and even kayaking! Tennis courts, community parks, and several sports parks round out the town’s to-do list.
Local shopping includes all the sporting goods stores you’d expect of a town built on skiing, golf, and fishing. But while you’re there, make use of the town’s many locally-owned services providers. And if you’re in Colorado to enjoy the legislature that has recently made it so famous as a tourist destination, Eagle-Vail has several locations that provide for your particular entertainment.
And for your everyday needs, there are both WalMart and Home Depot at the edge of town.
Food & Lodging
There are a number of hotels and resorts at the upper and lower ends of the Beaver Creek ski slopes. For dining out, EagleVail has many up-market restaurants at the Beaver Creek end of the ski runs, as well as family restaurants and eateries at the north-west end of town, near lodging. For a quick meal on the go, there are several chain restaurants near I-70.
Summary
Eagle-Vail is tucked out of the way, nestled between the more commonly-known Vail and Frisco-area ski resorts. World-class skiing is just next door at Beaver Creek, but Vail and Frisco are an easy drive away, as well. When the runs aren’t running, a top-notch public golf course awaits, along with the region’s only par-3 course.
